Statement of Interests

My interests are in plant systematics, biogeography, and floristics. Currently, I am working on a revision of Brickellia (Asteraceae; Eupatorieae), a genus of 90-100 species with a distribution centered in the southwest U.S. and western Mexico. Initial molecular and morphological analyses are underway involving species from the western U.S. and a treatment for Flora North America has been submitted.
