Alpine start from Flagstaff. Picked up Walker at 4:30 am and left town in the dark. Reached the parking area at 7:00, got our act together and started the 2-hour approach. After a few wrong turns on the climbers' trail and an extra 40 minutes of leg shredding in the brush, we made it to the base of the climb. Originally we planned to climb "Tread Gently", a recommended route, four pitches in length with a 5.8 difficulty rating. Unfortunately, a party beat us to it, so we climbed "Dislocation Direct", a quality 4-pitch route rated 5.6. Check out the pictures:
