I am an assistant professor in the department of Mathematics and Statistics at Northern Arizona Univeristy.
My research is focused on ecological applications of statistics. I have worked on a wide variety of problems including threshold detection using free-knot splines, effects of elevated CO2 on desert ecosystems using hierarchical Bayesian modeling, the spatial distribution of ocean viruses, and occupancy models using spatially coupled detectors.
Fall semester 2013 I will be teaching
STA 270 - Introductory statistics
STA 578 - Statistical Computing
STA 599 - Introduction to R - This is a one-credit course designed for students taking STA 570.
