                                                                        Leadership

       Greetings!

I am the Business Program Coordinator for Northern Arizona University -- Tucson, in partnership with Pima Community College. The NAU--Tucson business program is located on the Pima West Campus

My special interests are authentic leadership, forms of power and influence, and moral and social responsibility (see Authentic Leading). Nelson Mandela, Wangari Maathai, Martin Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and His Holiness the Dalai Lama (pictured above), among many others, have demonstrated the principles of authentic leading, the use of personal forms of power and influence, and extraordinary moral and social responsibility. My goal is to help students become managers who will follow these examples to help lead businesses to achieve a greater good for all.

Whatever joy there is in this world
All comes from desiring others to be happy,
And whatever suffering there is in this world
All comes from desiring myself to be happy.

A human being is part of a whole.... He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest
a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.

Albert Einstein

I have no authority over my countrymen save the purely moral.

Gandhi

The Master doesn’t try to be powerful;
thus he is truly powerful.
