Up New House Old House Stuff Yosemite Lake Havasu Other stuff Trips

Okay, so I'm finally getting around to posting a few pictures of the new place.  Until I get some furniture delivered, you'll mostly see outside shots.

It's way more house than a single guy needs, but from an investment standpoint it makes a whole lot of sense.  It's a 2-story, 1800 square foot house that was built in 1999.  The attached 2-car garage was the entire draw for me.

I've pretty much decided that the majority of the garage will be a wood shop.  I'll build a storage shed out back for yard tools and such.  But as the house is xeriscaped, there is very little if any yard work to be done.  That's a huge bonus!!!

The lot to the left of the house is a water drainage area and so there are no neighbors over there.  There is only one house to the right of me.  Across the street I'm looking at a side yard and back yard of two neighbors respectively.  And out back is an urban trail system with a greenbelt behind it.

The downstairs has a living room, kitchen, laundry room, 1/2 bath, 2-car garage and a relatively large deck accessed from the kitchen that leads down to a flagstone patio.

The upstairs has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a family room.

Behind the property is an urban trail system and a greenbelt which means there will never be any development on that land.  It will always be a "green space".  Another bonus.

Here's a picture of the living room as taken from the kitchen.  You can see the front door to the right and the staircase leading up to the second level.

It's an overwhelming space at present, but once the furniture arrives it'll hopefully have more of a home feel to it.

That's it for now.  More pics to come...
