KITCHEN BACKSPLASH

Finally getting around to covering up my cement backerboard backsplash that I've been living with for over a year now.
Doing a little "back-buttering" of a tile with a notched trowel.
And ................  tile placement.
So far, so good.  Once I get to the stove area I'll be installing a nice little mosaic to break up the 6x6 tile.  I'll also have to build an oak window sill for over the sink.
Here's the mosaic.  Looks kind of funky with it's cardboard spacers at this point.
This is the completed project after grouting, sealing, caulking and installing new GFCI outlets.  The pic is kind of blurry, but you get the idea.
Here's the other wall.  I made a matching window sill from the same oak used for the countertop edge banding.

I'm very pleased with the tile colors.  They tie in nicely with the countertops, cabinets and walls.  I'm glad I was talked into going with neutral colors.
