 |
| Finally getting around to covering up my
cement backerboard backsplash that I've been living with for over a year
now. |
 |
| Doing a little "back-buttering" of a tile
with a notched trowel. |
 |
| And ................ tile placement. |
 |
| So far, so good. Once I get to the
stove area I'll be installing a nice little mosaic to break up
the 6x6 tile. I'll also have to build an oak window sill for over
the sink. |
 |
| Here's the mosaic. Looks kind
of funky with it's cardboard spacers at this point. |
 |
| This is the completed project after
grouting, sealing, caulking and installing new GFCI outlets. The pic
is kind of blurry, but you get the idea. |
 |
| Here's the other wall. I made a
matching window sill from the same oak used for the countertop edge
banding. |

|
| I'm very pleased with the tile colors.
They tie in nicely with the countertops, cabinets and walls. I'm
glad I was talked into going with neutral colors. |
