Northern Arizona University is hosting Sonia Kovalevsky Mathematics and Engineering Day for outstanding female students of northern Arizona high schools, their teachers and their parents.

Events planned for the day include math and engineering mini-workshops, a panel discussion regarding careers in mathematics and engineering, and lunch.  See the tentative schedule for more details and check this website for future updates.

If you are a high school math or science teacher in northern Arizona, please encourage outstanding female students to attend this event.  Registration will close on Friday, April 18, 2008.  Direct your interested students to the Student RSVP link at left.

The event will be held in the Engineering Building on NAU's South Campus.  This project is coordinated by faculty of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.  There is no charge to students, parents, or teachers.
